Age Limit
18-26. Candidates born between 2.1.1991 and 1.1.1999 (both dates included) only eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation for OBC, SC/ST candidates as per Rule 10(c) of general rules. Women and Physically handicapped persons are not eligible.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Plus two or its equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess valid current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving heavy goods vehicle or heavy passenger vehicle with badge. Experience Required: None specified, but preferential qualification for Home Guard Volunteers with 3 years tenure and Fire Fighting training. Physical Standards: General: Height 165cm, Weight 50kg, Chest 81cm (5cm expansion). SC/ST: Height 160cm, Weight 48kg, Chest 76cm (5cm expansion). Vision: Distant 6/6 Snellen, Near 0.5 Snellen, Full field of vision. Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Surgeon. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.
Notes
Candidates must undergo 4 months training at State Fire Service Training School. Probation period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Compulsory 5-year service bond with Rs 2,700 penalty. Physical efficiency test required (qualify 5 out of 8 items).
