Age Limit
20-45. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years in the case of qualified candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years).
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired through regular study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. • In the absence of B.Ed. degree holders, candidates having B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the University in Kerala shall be considered. • In the absence of the above, B.Ed. degree acquired through regular study in any subject from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable for this post.

Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than Scheduled Tribes will be summarily rejected. Individual communication regarding the rejection of their applications will not be issued.
