18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual age relaxation applies to SC/ST and other backward communities.

Educational Qualifications: • SSLC or equivalent examination pass Technical Qualifications: • Laboratory Technician Course from a Medical College or Government recognized institution or Kerala Agricultural University • Livestock Inspector Training Course and Laboratory Technician Course training from Kerala Agricultural University • Diploma in Laboratory Technician Course from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (South India) after 1.5 years of study • 2 years Laboratory Technicians Course from Karnataka State Council of Vocational Education • 1 year Laboratory Technician Course from Madras Veterinary College • Army Trade Laboratory Assistant Class 1 with 15 years experience and Armed Forces Medical College Class 1 Laboratory Assistant qualification • Ex-servicemen with 16 years experience as Army Trade Laboratory Assistant Class 1 • Pre-University Diploma in Laboratory Technician trade from Karnataka Government State Council of Vocational Education • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Punjab State Medical Faculty • VHSE in Medical Laboratory Technician Experience Required: Required for specific Army trade qualifications as mentioned above. Physical Standards: Not applicable, but 3% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates (locomotor disability, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, low vision). Totally blind candidates are not eligible. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: K.S & S.S.R Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving equivalency at the time of verification.

Rank list will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. Candidates must provide confirmation for the exam via their OTR profile. Candidates already in government service in the same post and department in any district are not eligible to apply.
