Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Non Vocational Teacher in English (Senior) in Vocational Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 163/2017. Vacancies: Scheduled Tribe - 1 (One). Scale of Pay: 39500-83000. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community of Kerala State only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-07-2017 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

23-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1972 and 01.01.1994 (both dates included) are only eligible to apply for the post, including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in English with not less than 50% marks awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University of Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) in the concerned subject for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a(ii) is applicable. Exemptions from B.Ed: Language Teacher’s Training Course or M.Ed in the subject concerned. Exemptions from SET: State Level Eligibility Test for College Lecturers, SET for HSST, NET/JRF, Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed degree holders, or those who have submitted Ph.D thesis and passed M.Phil.
