Age Limit
1) 18-29. Only candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Viswakarma and OX. 2) 18-31. Only candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of SC/ST and also OX candidates who have converted to Christianity from SC communities after attaining eighteen years and children of such parents.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: ā€¢ Must have passed S.S.L.C or equivalent examination Technical Qualifications: ā€¢ Must possess current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving heavy goods vehicle or heavy passenger vehicle. Physical Standards: For Other than SC/ST Candidates: Height 165 cms, Weight 50 kg, Chest 81 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms. For SC/ST Candidates: Height 160 cms, Weight 48 kg, Chest 76 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms. Standards of Vision (without Glasses): Distant Vision 6/6 snellen, Near Vision 0.5 snellen, Field of Vision Full for both eyes. Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items.
Notes
Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty after he completes the training and examination will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Selected candidates should undergo a course of training for a period of 4 months in the State Fire Service Training School, and pass the examination. Every person appointed shall compulsorily serve in the Department for 5 years after completion of training and execute a bond for Rs.2700.
