Direct Recruitment

18-40. Candidates must have been born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included). Usual age relaxations for other backward communities and SC/ST candidates. (Refer to Para 2 of the General Conditions for age relaxation rules). Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years including relaxations. Temporary employees in 29 cooperative institutions mentioned in G.O.(P) No. 41/98 dated 09/03/1998 are eligible for age relaxation up to the length of their service (maximum 5 years).

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in 7th Standard or equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current Driving Licence for Light Duty and Heavy Duty vehicles with minimum 3 years of experience and Drivers Badge. • Driving Licence must be valid at all stages of selection process. • If licence issued after 16.01.1979, must have special endorsement for driving Heavy Goods/Passenger vehicles. Experience Required: Must possess 3 years experience as a driver of Light and Heavy duty vehicles. Physical Standards: Medical Fitness: (i) Chest/Ear: Perfect hearing. (ii) Eye Sight (both eyes): Distant Vision - 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision - 0.5 Snellen, Colour Vision - Normal, Night Blindness - Must not exist. (iii) Muscles and Joints - No paralysis and all joints with free movements. (iv) Nervous System - Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II, KS&SSR is applicable.

The rules and general conditions regarding recruitment (Part II KS&SSR) are applicable. Probation period is 3 years of duty within a continuous period of 2 years.
