Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).

18-50 Candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed.

(i) Degree in Modern Medicine (MBBS) or Equivalent Qualification. (ii) Must possess valid Registration with Travancore Cochin Medical Council.

Note 1:- The above Vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years, provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published for this post under the same method of appointment. Advice for appointment will be made from the Ranked list published in pursuance of this notification to the above vacancy and also to the vacancies reported further for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe during the pendency of the list. Vacancies of the above post reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes will also be filled up from this list, if no separate ranked list is available or a separate selection is under way exclusively for Scheduled Tribe for filling up of such vacancies for this post. If there is no Scheduled Tribe candidate in the said list, a fresh notification exclusively for 'Scheduled Tribes' will be issued for filling up of such vacancies. Note 2:- Those who are appointed in the post should serve for four (4) years during the first ten (10) years of their service (including the period of training) anywhere in India or any other foreign country under defence service or services connected with defence, if required. Those who have completed forty five years of age and disabled persons are exempted from the above compulsory military service. Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected. Individual communications will not be issued regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason. Note:- 1) Rule 10 (a) (ii) of part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 2) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent / higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
