Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes)

20 - 45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.1996 (including both the dates) are eligible. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years.

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in items (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the University in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Teachers who have completed 10 (Ten) years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service are exempted from passing the State Eligibility test. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Part II Rule 10 (a) ii of KS & SSR regarding qualification is applicable for this selection. M.Ed. in the subject concerned is exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Exemptions from SET apply for those who passed State Level Eligibility Test for College Lectures, NET/JRF, or possess Ph.D./M.Phil/M.Ed. degrees.

Appointments are subject to the rank secured in the Ranked List and relevant G.O.s regarding special reservations for Scheduled Tribes. Applications not in accordance with conditions will be rejected. Documents to prove qualification, age, and community must be produced when called for.
