Age Limit

20-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1969 and 01.01.1994 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Communicative English with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Act and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed Degree as specified above, candidates with B.Ed degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not specifically required, but preference given to those with Ph.D/M.Phil/NET/JRF or Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching of English. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable. Exemptions from SET provided for SLET, NET/JRF, Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed holders, and teachers with 10 years of approved teaching service at High School level.
