Age Limit
21-36. Only candidates born between 02-01-1978 and 01-01-1993 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual relaxation to SC/ST, OBC applies. For Ex-servicemen, maximum age limit is relaxed to the extent of service put in by them in the military plus the release from military up to 5 years. The extension on the upper age limit is allowed to disembodied Territorial Army Personnel also. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must know Swimming • Knowledge in simple Boat handling • Desirable: Previous experience as Boat Keeper • Desirable: Knowledge in Painting and Maintenance of boats Experience Required: Not specified, but previous experience as Boat Keeper is desirable. Physical Standards: Must possess good physique. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Not specified
Notes
Selection is on a Revenue District basis. Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district. Inter-departmental transfer is not allowed. Candidates already in Government Service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again. Applications must be submitted to only one district.
