20-40. Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST and other backward communities. Ministerial staff of the Higher Secondary Education Department are eligible for age relaxation up to 43 years as per GO(P) No. 36/2005/Gl.Edn. dated 04.02.2005.

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired through a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. • Must possess B.Ed degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of the above, B.Ed degree in the concerned subject acquired through a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce the relevant Government Order/Equivalency Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
