20-40. Candidates must have been born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Usual age relaxations for other backward classes, SC/ST candidates are applicable. Ministerial staff in the Kerala Higher Secondary Education Department have age relaxation up to 43 years as on 01.01.2023.

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. • Degree in B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. • B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of B.Ed. Degree holders, B.Ed. Degree acquired in any subject obtained after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto, by any of the Universities in Kerala, shall be considered. Technical Qualifications: • Pass in the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

The rank list prepared pursuant to this notification shall cease to be in force after one year from the date on which it comes into force or after three years, whichever is earlier. Rules of Part II of KS&SSR are applicable.
