20 - 45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1968 and 01.01.1993 (including both the dates) are eligible to apply. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years.

Educational Qualifications: • Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. • M.Sc.Ed. in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by the NCERT. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Persons who have acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognised by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Exemptions from SET are provided for those who have passed State Level Eligibility Test for College Lectures, NET/JRF, Ph.D./M.Phil/M.Ed. holders, and teachers with 10 years of approved teaching service at the High School level.

Appointments are subject to the rank secured in the Ranked List and conditions laid down in G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No. 25/94/GAD dated 22.01.1994. Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except Rule 3(C) of Part II KS&SSR) are not applicable.
