Age Limit
21 – 45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1968 and 01.01.1992 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • B.Sc/B.Tech Degree in Engineering (Civil) of the Kerala University. • B.E Degree (Civil) of the Madras University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • Associate membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering or any other Diploma recognized as equivalent thereto • Pass in Section 'A' and 'B' of Associate membership Examination of the Institute of Engineers India in Civil Engineering.
Notes
Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection. Every person appointed shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Assistant Engineers appointed by Direct Recruitment shall pass the account test (Lower), The Kerala Public Works Department manual test and the Kerala Public Works Department test within the period of probation.
