Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in Arabic or a degree with Arabic as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala (if such title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of a degree) and a Language Teacher Training Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. • Exemptions: Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from K-TET. CTET Primary Stage is accepted for K-TET Category I and CTET Elementary Stage for K-TET Category II. Experience Required: Must be a Full Member or Approved Probationer in the Subordinate Service of the General Education Department. Must have not less than 5 years of service in the post of Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attendant, or Binder in the General Education Department as of the date of application. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Degrees/Diplomas from Universities recognized by UGC or established by Parliament/State Legislature are accepted.
Notes
The selection is based on the special rules in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates selected by transfer are not eligible for inter-district transfer for 5 years. Reservation rules under KS&SSR Part II Rules 14-17 are not applicable for By Transfer appointments.
