Age Limit
18-41. Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case, the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 years.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent • Diploma in Civil Engineering after 2 years study from Vanitha Polytechnic Technical Qualifications: • KGTE or MGTE Group Certificate (The Group Certificate must include four groups viz. Building Drawing, Building Construction, Surveying and Irrigation) • Pass in the following 8 subjects under KGTE/MGTE: (1) Surveying and Levelling (Higher) (2) Applied Mechanics (Higher) (3) Building Materials and Construction (Higher) (4) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher) (5) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher) (6) Earth Work and Road Making (Higher) (7) Geometrical Drawing (Lower) (8) Mensuration (Lower) • National Apprenticeship Certificate (Surveyor) • National Apprenticeship Certificate (Civil) • National Trade Certificate (Surveyor) • National Trade Certificate (Draftsman Civil) • VHSE Certificate Course in Building Technology for Draftsman Gr. II • VHSE Certificate Course in Draftsmanship and Quantity Surveying for Town Planning Surveyor Gr. II Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable for this post.

The rules and regulations regarding general conditions (Para 2, 3, 5(a) except 3(c) of para 25 of Part II KS&SSR) are not applicable to this selection. Applications submitted by candidates belonging to non-SC/ST communities will be summarily rejected.
