Educational Qualifications: • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination with Arabic as an optional subject or as second language • A pass in Afzal-Al-Ulama Preliminary examination • A pass in the Pre Degree examination with Arabic as an optional subject • A pass in the SSLC examination from Arabic Oriental School or from academic school with Arabic as First Language conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala and a pass in Higher Secondary examination • A pass in Higher Secondary examination and a pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and Degree/ Post Graduate Degree in Arabic language conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala • A degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala • A title of Oriental learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala • A Pass in Pre-degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the Calicut University • A pass in Plus two, Part III, Arabic (optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala • A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic under Part I and Part II First Language • A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent and any one of the following: (i) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher), (ii) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower), (iii) A Pass in Arabic Teachers Examination, (iv) A Pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala and Calicut Universities • BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree awarded or recognized by Universities in Kerala Technical Qualifications: • A pass in the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (Arabic), in short D.El.Ed (Arabic), examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala • Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates who have qualified CTET/ NET/ SET/ M.Phil/ Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring K-TET.

Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules (KS&SSR) are applicable. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination through their OTR profile if a test is conducted.
