Age Limit
19-41; Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed SSLC or equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Must undergo training for not less than 6 weeks in International Code Signalling and Flags. • Must undergo training for not less than 6 weeks in Light Keeper and Signaller duties. • Must undergo training for not less than 6 weeks in handling 'AGA' Acetylene lights at the Light House Workshop of the Government of India. Experience Required: None specified, but training is mandatory during the probation period. Physical Standards: Must possess the prescribed visual standards: Distant Vision (Right/Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen), Near Vision (Right/Left Eye: 0.6 Snellen). Must be free from squint, morbid conditions of the eye or eyelids (e.g., Trachoma), and must possess the ability to distinguish principal colors. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
Notes
The selection is district-wise. Candidates must be from the specified reservation community. Candidates already in government service in the same post in any district are not eligible to apply. Probation period training is mandatory. Candidates must provide a medical certificate in the prescribed format when required by the Commission.
