18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Communities. (For other conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Part II Para 2 of the General Conditions).

Educational Qualifications: • A Degree or Associate Membership awarded by a recognized Indian or Foreign University or Institution approved by Government, in Plastic Technology relating to plastic processing such as Compounding Vulcanizing and testing of various properties of plastics. • B.Tech. Degree in Polymer Science and Rubber Technology of Cochin University of Science and Technology. • In the absence of qualified hands under 1(a) and (b) above Diploma in the subjects specified in the 1(a) and (b) above. Experience Required: Experience of not less than two years in plastic manufacturing from a Government owned Company or Corporation or an Industrial Undertaking registered under the Indian Companies Act. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable.

Every person appointed to this post shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years of duty within a continuous period of three years.
