Age Limit
19-34. Candidates born between 2.1.1985 and 1.1.2000 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post in the case of OBC and Hindu Nadar (Including the age relaxation as per Para 2(i) of the General Conditions)
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the Plus Two examination or its equivalent. Physical Standards: Must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81 cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Physique and Eyesight: Must be certified by a Medical Officer as to his physique fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. Must be certified to possess visual standards specified without glasses (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, full field of vision, no colour blindness, squint, or morbid condition). Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands and limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Must qualify in Endurance Test (2.5 kilometers race within 13 minutes) and National Physical Efficiency Test (5 out of 8 events). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates who have applied with equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification, should produce the relevant Government order to prove their qualifications equivalency at the time of verification.
Notes
As per Part II of the General Conditions, including provisions for probation period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years, basic training for a period of not less than 6 months, and preference for Ex-servicemen.
