Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.
• Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible.
• Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree.
• Various specific BA degree combinations in Islamic History, Arabic, Economics, Political Science, Indian History, etc., as detailed in the notification.
Technical Qualifications:
• Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.
• Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET.
Experience Required:
Candidates should have service not less than 5 years as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant in the General Education Department as on the date of application.
Physical Standards:
Not applicable.
Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules:
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. M.Phil in the concerned subject must be awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent.

General conditions from the notification⌄
The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service. Selection is on a revenue district basis. Rules regarding reservation (Rule 14 to 17 of Part II KS&SSR) are not applicable to recruitment by transfer.
