Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala • Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible • Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education is treated as equivalent to Degree • Various BA Degree combinations in Islamic History, Arabic, Economics, History, Political Science, etc., with B.Ed are accepted as per specific G.O.s Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala • Exemption from K-TET for candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects • Employees of the General Education Department who entered service before 31.03.2012 and completed prescribed service are exempted from K-TET Experience Required: Must be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service and have not less than 5 years of service as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant in the General Education Department as on the date of application. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government Orders.

General conditions from the notification
The selection is on a revenue district basis. Candidates must be approved probationers/full members of the Kerala General Education subordinate service. Rules regarding reservation (Rule 14 to 17 in Part II of KS & SSR) are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. Candidates already in government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again.
