Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Tribes only).

20-45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years.

Educational Qualifications: • Masters Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala, or equivalent provisions specified in rules (such as B.Ed in concerned faculty or any subject in absence of qualified persons, or M.Sc.Ed from RIE) • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable.

The Conditions laid down in paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (c) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) of General conditions are not applicable to this selection. Appointment are made on the basis of the rank secured subject to special reservations to Scheduled Tribes.
