Age Limit
Category No. 236/2015: Age 18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.1997 (both dates included) with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. Category No. 237/2015: Must have completed 18 years as on 01.01.2015. Upper age limit is not applicable.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • SSLC • Diploma in Library Science or Certificate in Library Science which are recognised by Government (Preference being given to Diploma holders) • OR Degree in any subject and degree in Library and Information Science acquired after a regular course of study from a recognised university • OR (For By Transfer) Degree in any subject with degree in Library Science Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable
Notes
The lists of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year till the publication of a new list or expiry of three years whichever is earlier. For appointment by transfer, rules of reservation will not apply and candidates shall be advised on the basis of strict seniority assigned in the ranked list.
