Age Limit
18-26. Candidates born between 2.1.1989 and 1.1.1997 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Upper age limit relaxed for OBC (born on or after 2.1.1986), SC/ST (born on or after 2.1.1984), and Ex-servicemen (born on or after 2.01.1974). Women and differently abled persons are not eligible.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Pass in S.S.L.C examination or its equivalent Physical Standards: Height: Minimum 167 cms (160 cms for SC/ST). Chest: Minimum 81 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms (76 cms with 5 cms expansion for SC/ST). Eye Sight: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left) without glasses. Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protesting tooth, defective speech and hearing. Must qualify in any five events out of eight in the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable.

Applications are submitted online only. Candidates are prohibited from applying to more than one Battalion. Separate ranked lists will be published for each Battalion. Candidates appointed will be allowed transfer only to the concerned District Armed Reserves.
