Age Limit
18-33. Candidates born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply. Upper age limit relaxed up to 45 years for Ex-servicemen. 5 years relaxation for those with horse riding experience in Indian Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces/National Police Academy or worked in Mounted Police Units of other States.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent. Technical Qualifications: • Must have minimum one year experience in playing Band, Bugle, Drum and allied musical instruments of Police Band Unit from a Firm/Institution/Band Troop having registration under State/Central Government. Experience Required: Minimum one year experience in playing Band, Bugle, Drum and allied musical instruments of Police Band Unit from a Firm/Institution/Band Troop having registration under State/Central Government. Physical Standards: Height: Not less than 168 cm. Chest: Not less than 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm. Must qualify in any 5 events out of 8 items of the national physical efficiency one star standard test. Must be free from physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Vision: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes without glasses. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Higher qualifications of the notified and prescribed basic qualifications shall be accepted.
Notes
Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile. Applications not in accordance with terms and conditions are liable to be rejected. Disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of KPSC Rules of Procedure will be taken against those submitting bogus claims.
