Who can apply

Kerala PSC has invited applications for Assistant Marine Surveyor in Port (Hydrographic Survey Wing) (Category No. 342/2020). Vacancies: SC-1 (One); pay scale: 39,500-83,000/-; method of appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste community from Kerala State only. In their absence, ST candidates will be considered). Apply online through Kerala PSC One Time Registration by 20-01-2021.

Age limit

18-41, Only candidates born between 01.01.2002 and 02.01.1979 (both dates included) including age relaxation in Part II in Para 2(i) of the General conditions. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Survey Recorder Class I or Class II qualification of the Indian Naval Hydrographic Branch. Experience Required: Candidates possessing Survey Recorder Class I qualification must have an experience of not less than 4 years in Hydrographic Survey. Candidates possessing Survey Recorder Class II qualification must have an experience of not less than 6 years in Hydrographic Survey. Candidates without the required experience can also apply but must undergo training. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification
Every person appointed to the post shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years and must pass the Account Test for Executive Officers during the period of probation.
