Age Limit
21-39; i.e only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates. Maximum age limit for ex-servicemen relaxed to the extent of service in defence forces plus period of unemployment on discharge up to a maximum of 5 years, subject to a maximum age of 50 years.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: ā€¢ Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: ā€¢ Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement of driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle ā€¢ Must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil ā€¢ Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for heavy Goods and heavy passenger Vehicles Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Ear: Hearing should be perfect. Eye: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen, Colour vision Normal, Night blindness Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii applicable.
Notes
Selection on revenue district basis. Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying. Probation period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Practical test will be conducted; written test may be conducted if applications are large.
