Age Limit
18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible. Upper age limit is 45 for converts from Scheduled Castes to Christian communities and their children (born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2004).
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • Pre-Degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the University of Calicut. • Plus Two Part III Arabic (Optional) Course of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala. • A Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic as First Language (Part I and Part II). • A pass in SSLC Examination equivalent thereto, and possessing any of the following qualifications: 1) Arabic Munshi Higher, 2) Arabic Munshi Lower, 3) Arabic Teachers Examination, 4) Entrance Examination of Kerala or Calicut University. Technical Qualifications: • KTET Category-IV Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: BA Arabic & Islamic History Double Main degree recognized by Universities in Kerala is accepted. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
