Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: ā€¢ SSLC or equivalent examination passed. ā€¢ In the absence of SSLC holders, SSLC failed candidates will be considered. ā€¢ In the absence of the above, candidates who have passed 8th standard will be considered. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Minimum height 150 cm (relaxable to 148 cm if sufficient candidates are not available). Must possess required vision standards (Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes). Must be free from physical deformities like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, squint, etc. Must pass the Physical Efficiency Test (National Physical Efficiency Test one-star standard in 8 items). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
Notes
The selection is district-wise. Candidates must belong to the Scheduled Tribe communities (Paniyan, Adiyan, Kattunaickan given preference). Candidates must submit certificates from Revenue authorities and Forest Ranger/Tribal Extension Officer proving residence in the specified forest/settlement areas.
