Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• A Degree in Malayalam or Graduation with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/BT/LT conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.
• OR Title of Oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
• Post Graduates in Malayalam are also eligible to apply for this post provided they have B.Ed/BT/LT qualification.
Technical Qualifications:
• Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.
Experience Required:
Service as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Peon in the General Education Department with not less than 5 years as on the date of application. The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service as on the date of application.

Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules:
M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. B.Ed should be in the concerned subject viz Malayalam. Candidates who secured B.Ed/B.T Degree from the Universities outside Kerala should note in the application form, the number and date of relevant orders declaring the said degree as equivalent.

General conditions from the notification⌄
The selection will be made on a revenue district basis. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post. Reservation rules (Article 14 to 17 in Part II of the KS & SSR) are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. In the absence of suitable candidates, vacancies shall be filled by candidates from the Ranked List prepared for Direct recruitment.
